The Genius. Liquid Swords is better than anything any of them were able to achieve.

Followed closely by RZA for his efforts as a producer and his work in Gravediggaz.

critically greatest, lyrically greatest or just cooler in general?

I haven't really listened to enough material to be able to comment properly, but I chose GZA purely for Liquid Swords.

I would be hard pressed to name even one of those mountain gorillas, let alone tell one from the other.

raekwon is pretty great, so is GZA. fuck man, they're all pretty good.

I'ma have to go with the RZA though, dude is one of the most influential producers ever. he pretty much ran wu-tang for like, five years.

GZA; Liquid Swords is still the best solo output from the whole collective.

Raekwon second; Cuban Linx 1 & 2 are pretty awesome.

RZA loses out because his solo albums, are fucking terrible. But as tyrone said, he's a great producer.

RZA definitely isn't the best rapper of the group

If we're going on pure voice aesthetic, I'd go ODB (Method Man would be a little way behind).

Flow, I'd go Raekwon.

I'm going to throw some love Ghostface's way, solely because I've only listened to Fishscale, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), Supreme Clientele and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. II

ODB's good, but there's something about the way GZA reels off his lines that I really like.

I like U-God's tone, but I've heard fuck all of his work outside of Wu-Tang albums.

That's what I liked about him. He understood the importance of working with other members, when rapping with a group. It wasn't just GZA that he set up awesome flow for, either. He then went on to prove that he could hold his own with Return to the 36 Chambers.

Yeah, he had an awesome voice. His solos were really forgettable. Not great, but not bad.

Also, probably the best thing members of Wu-Tang ever did:

Essentially why I voted ODB, haha.
6 feet deep is fantastic and I prefer it over the other projects, but either way.
Also, ODB was ghetto as

So I was listening to C.R.E.A.M (like I do most nights) and I started thinking; no one appreciates Inspectah Deck enough. He fucking kills it in C.R.E.A.M. His verse is probably my favourite verse from any of their songs.

So I downloaded his debut album Uncontrolled Substance and it's really good.

Also, I discovered his alternative name is The Rebel. I never knew this.
