Terrible news I just saw on Wiki

Producer Avi Lerner has reported that the film will be cut down to two versions, a PG-13 edit and a R-rated version, both of which will be screen tested to see which one will be officially released.[28] Lerner is considering cutting down the violence because of the success of recent PG-13 action films such as Live Free or Die Hard. Lerner has claimed that 2008's Rambo could have been even more successful, had it not contained such extreme violence and gore. In the interview, Lerner also confirmed that Rambo 5 is in the works and won't be as violent as Rambo 4 but will be as least as violent as Rambo III. [29]

Yanks can be weird. Their idea of PG13 violence can still be pretty brutal...

Haven't seen Die Hard 4 to confirm though.

Die Hard 4 was softer than 1000 pillows.

Taken is a good example of how violent they can get and keep PG 13.

However, I want the Rambo 4 treatment in this movie!

Trivia: pg13 was created so that The Temple of Doom could appeal to a wide audience but yet keep in the darker themes that couldn't be cut into the lower rating.

I hereby propose that the SI unit for violence be based on multiples of Rambo 3.



Example:

"How violent was that movie?"

This, even if the Pg-13 version is chosen and I don't succeed in blowing up the planet for such a disgraceful act the uncut DVD will become the new most precious resource on the planet.
